About me:

Hi! My name is Mari McCuen and I am very excited about being a second grade teacher at Washington Elementary. I have had the opportunity to work at different schools in the district but I am so happy to call Washington home.

As a former bobcat of Bay City, I am a graduate of John Glenn High School. After high school I went to Delta College and then SVSU where I graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. Currently I am continuing my education at SVSU where I am working on my Masters in Reading.

In my free time I like to do things with my family. I am very close with my parents and my sister and feel very blessed to have such wonderful people in my life. I also enjoy spending time with my friends. Good ones are hard to come by and I am lucky to have some of the BEST. I enjoy reading, biking, going for walks, being out in the sun, working on the computer, and enjoying the simple things in life. I love to learn and be inspired so I try to make it a goal to surround myself by people who do that….I believe teaching is the best place for that.
