About me: I have worked in Bay City Public Schools for 3 years. I have been in education for 21 years, including 3 years as a principal in Saginaw Public Schools and a teacher for 15 years. I truly enjoyed my time as an elementary teacher and I am now enjoying my time as an Elementary Principal. Elementary students are eager to learn, full of life and very humorous. If laughter is the best medicine, hanging out in an elementary school should cure just about anything. As an elementary principal my goal each day is to make a difference in someone’s life. My Mom, a mother of 9 once told me her goal each day was to make each of us feel like an only child, believe it or not my goal each day is to make each student feel like they are an only student!!! My professional interests include trying to keep up with the latest developments in curriculum and instruction. I also like to read about learning and how the brain works to take on new learning. One of my professional challenges is to keep up with the fast pace of technology, or at least keep up with my 2^nd graders. I have been married for 3 years to my husband, Steve. My personal interests include reading, golfing, watching sports and traveling to Chattanooga, Tennessee to visit my non Michigan family members.
